How long has Rockford Elite Basketball been around?

Rockford Elite Basketball was founded by Tim Knauf, with one team and six players, in 2009. As of today, Rockford Elite Basketball has multiple boys and girls teams ranging from 2nd grade through high school.

Who may participate with Rockford Elite Basketball?

We accept boys and girls who want to learn the game of basketball. We do make cuts to ensure we field a competitively balanced team.

What's Rockford Elite Basketball's core goal?

Our goal is to deliver mentally, physically, skilled, fundamentally sound, and high levels of basketball IQ players to their respective high schools.

When are the tryouts?

Tryouts are held in September for the fall/winter sessions and in March for the spring/summer sessions.

How are volunteer coaches selected?

Every coach goes through an interviewing process and thorough background check. Once we have selected a coach. We work closely with our coaches to build the final team rosters.

How much does it cost to play for Rockford Elite Basketball?

Participation costs, including uniforms, are roughly $550 to $1,000 depending on team and travel needs.

Where does the money go?

Roughly 85% of the costs go to renting the facilities for practices and tournament entry fees, 10% for administrative costs (insurance, legal, accounting, website and advertising) and 5% for operational reserves.
